Robin Fraser sticks up for TFC's attackers after being shut out

TORONTO – Robin Fraser didn’t bang his fist on the desk in disgust or have a look of disdain on his face.

But it was clear he didn’t like one of the questions posed to him in the post-match press conference after TFC battled to a 0-0 draw against Minnesota United on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field.

This latest result means Toronto (0-4-4) is without a win and has earned just four points from its opening eight contests of the MLS campaign. Just as worrying for the Reds is that they’ve now been shut out three times this year and have found the back of the net only seven times, second worst in the Eastern Conference.

While TFC put forth a solid defensive effort against Minnesota on Saturday, they couldn’t find a way to break down the visitors. Toronto had five shots on target, but never seriously tested Canadian goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair.
