Toronto FC vs. Minnesota United: 3 takeaways

Saturday's home draw was one of TFC's best defensive performances of the campaign against Minnesota United.

Toronto FC vs. Minnesota United: 3 takeaways

Toronto FC continues to plow its way through a difficult stretch of its schedule with a string of credible draws against some of the top clubs in MLS.

After earning stalemates against the leader of the Western Conference (Vancouver Whitecaps) and the Eastern Conference (Inter Miami), TFC battled Minnesota United to a 0-0 draw on Saturday at BMO Field. Minnesota entered the match as the third-best side in the West and is riding a seven-game unbeaten run.

"I feel like we're doing a lot of things really well and I just want the players to reward themselves for the work that they're doing. And so, [I'm] disappointed in that sense. I mean, you're at home, you obviously always want three points at home, but again, I feel like there are a lot of positives to take from it," coach Robin Fraser said after the match.

Toronto, 0-4-4 this season, is winless in 13 matches in league play (with eight losses) since its last victory, a 2-1 home decision over Austin FC on Sept. 14.

Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
