TFC targeting 'core starter' ahead of transfer deadline; Laryea revealed as 3rd DP
After a franchise-worst campaign last year, Toronto FC appears to be on the rebound following a decent start to the 2024 MLS season.
TFC (4-4-1) have already earned five clean sheets – one less than they did all last year – and are grinding out results while dealing with a rash of injuries. By all accounts, the mood within the club has drastically changed thanks to coach John Herdman, as the players have bought into his vision and way of doing things.
Still, the team is in rebuilding mode and remains a major work in progress, and GM Jason Hernandez is looking to make some roster moves before the MLS primary transfer window closes on Tuesday.
