Maxime Dominguez, Charlie Sharp earn 1st starts in TFC loss
Short of options due to injuries, coach Robin Fraser called upon Dominguez and Sharp in Saturday's home defeat to NYCFC.

TORONTO – Dealing with a number of injuries, coach Robin Fraser turned to his bench to help fill in the gaps for Toronto FC in Saturday's home game against New York City FC.
Forward Charlie Sharp and Swiss midfielder both earned their first starts for the MLS club, but that wasn’t enough to turn the tide in favour of the home side, who ended up on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision to NYCFC.
The Reds were missing forwards Deandre Kerr, Ola Brynhildsen and Derrick Etienne Jr. due to lower body injuries. Brynhildsen trained with the rest of the team on Friday, and the hope was that he’d be able to play against New York.
But the club determined roughly 90 minutes before kickoff that the Norwegian wouldn’t be ready to go.
