Toronto FC vs. New York City FC: 3 takeaways
Positive results at home continue to be elusive for Toronto FC.
TFC saw their winless run at BMO Field extended to seven matches (five losses) on Saturday courtesy of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of New York City FC.
Toronto hasn't collected three points at home since registering a 2-1 decision against Austin FC on Sept. 14, 2024 when John Herdman was ay the helm. The Reds have now gone 349 minutes without a goal at BMO Field, with Deandre Kerr's strike in a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Fire on March 15 the only time they've scored in four home matches this season.
"I would say that our performances at home have been decent, but I think moments have decided the games for us," coach Robin Fraser said after his team's latest setback before the hometown fans.
Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
