TFC's Sigurd Rosted embracing big changes on and off the pitch
Fatherhood and having to fight for playing time at Toronto FC this season have made life interesting for the Norwegian defender.
The last seven months have been a bit of a whirlwind for Toronto FC centre back Sigurd Rosted.
Not only has the Norwegian international been still adapting to life in MLS, but his Danish girlfriend Victoria gave birth to the couple’s first child.
Their daughter Freja – a very common Danish name – isn’t even a year old but she’s already seen more of the world than the average person. Born in Toronto, Freja has visited the homelands of both of her parents and also spent time in Sweden at the couple’s winter cabin. During pre-season, Victoria and his daughter accompanied Rosted to Florida and California for both legs of TFC’s training camp.
Fatherhood has been a life changing experience for Rosted with plenty of challenges at home as he balances family life with soccer.
