TFC 2's Nathaniel Edwards hungry for more action with Reds
The young prospect discusses his debut for the senior team, playing against Tyrese Spicer in the NCAA, life with TFC 2, and much more.
It's been an amazing few months for Nathaniel Edwards.
The defender from Brampton, Ont., was signed to his first pro contract by TFC 2 in February after finishing his senior year at Syracuse University.
Edwards, 21, made his debut for the Young Reds in March and scored his first goal for the club in June. In between, he earned his first taste of action with Toronto FC in May during a Canadian Championship quarter-final match against CS Saint-Laurent when he was subbed on and replaced Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty in the 46th minute.
In this one-on-one interview with TFC Republic, Edwards talks about making his senior team debut, life in MLS NEXT Pro with TFC 2, playing against Tyrese Spicer in the NCAA, turning out for Vaughan Azzurri in League1 Ontario, and much more.
