Toronto FC vs. Forge FC: 3 takeaways
Toronto FC remains on course to win its first piece of silverware under John Herdman.
A 1-0 home victory over CPL champions Forge on Tuesday night in the second leg of the Canadian Championship semifinal was good enough for TFC to overturn a first leg deficit and win the aggregate series on the away goals rule.
The Reds will face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sept. 25 at BC Place in the final.
"Anytime you have the chance to win a trophy, it's a huge honour," TFC defender Henry Wingo said. "I think the group, especially in these last couple of games, has shown the focus and the determination that it's going to take to hopefully win a trophy."
Here are my three major takeaways from Tuesday's match.
