Preparations by the Canadian women's team for the 2023 World Cup continued on Friday with an important road win against Brazil.
Shelina Zadorsky and Adriana Leon both scored off corner kicks in a 2-1 victory for Canada, who has now won five games in a row and nine of its last 10. Captain Christine Sinclair put in a very good shift, collecting one assist and being routinely involved in Canada's best attacking moments, while Kailen Sheridan made a number of big saves to preserve the win.
