CanMNT Talk: World Cup dream comes true for Canada after 36 years
In the latest video blog, I discuss Canada's big win against Jamaica, and share what it was like be at BMO Field for the historic occasion.
The 36-year wait is over.
The Canadian men's team earned a historic 4-0 win over Jamaica on Sunday to officially clinch a berth at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Canada punched its ticket for the World Cup thanks to goals from Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan and Junior Hoilett, and a Jamaican own-goal before a crowd of 29,122 spectators in Toronto, fulfilling a promise made by coach John Herdman when he was hired in 2018 that Canada would qualify for Qatar.
In the latest video blog, I break down Canada's big win over Jamaica, and paint a picture of what BMO Field was like when the final whistle blew.
