CanMNT Talk: What to expect from Canada in friendly vs. Japan
Canada takes on Japan on Thursday in Dubai in its last tuneup match before opening its World Cup campaign next week.
The Canadian men's team returns to action when it faces Japan in Dubai on Thursday (8:40 a.m. ET) in its final World Cup tune-up game.
Unlike last week's friendly vs. Bahrain, Canada will be able to call upon its European-based players against the Asian heavyweight.
The game also gives coach John Herdman one last chance to give out-of-competitions players from MLS some valuable playing time, and to make last minute tactical tweaks before playing Belgium in its World Cup opener in Qatar next week.
In the latest TFC Republic video blog, I preview Canada's friendly with Japan and what to look for from Herdman's side in this incredibly important warm-up match.
