Canada names preliminary roster for SheBelieves Cup
Captain Christine Sinclair will be in pre-tournament training camp for the Canadian women's team ahead of this month's SheBelieves Cup.
Canada women’s team coach Bev Priestman announced her 18-player squad on Wednesday for a pre-tournament camp ahead of the 2023 SheBelieves Cup later this month.
The five-day training camp will be held from Feb. 8-12 and will go straight into the international window which opens on Feb. 13.
As this camp falls just outside of the window, this preliminary Canadian squad is mostly made up of players from out-of-season leagues, such as the National Women’s Soccer League and Sweden's Damallsvenskan. Priestman will announce her official SheBelieves Cup roster ahead of Canada's opening match on Feb. 16.
