Dec. 20, 2024: Reds trades, then selects Reid Fisher at No. 23

Toronto FC traded $50,000 in 2025 general allocation money and an additional $50,000 in conditional GAM to D.C. United. In return, TFC received a first-round pick (No. 23), which they used to select San Diego State defender Reid Fisher, a sophomore. In the second round, Toronto used the No. 39 pick to select University of Pittsburgh midfielder Michael Sullivan, a senior. In the third round, Toronto used the No. 69 pick on University of Dayton midfielder Joseph Quiah, a junior.

Quick analysis: Fisher, 20, just completed his second season at San Diego State and has two more years of NCAA eligibility, so this is a move for the future, rather than something that can help TFC right away.
