Toronto FC's Deandre Kerr: 'I don't think I'm where I could be'
In this 1-on-1 interview, Kerr discusses his 2024 season with TFC, where he thinks he needs to improve and much more.
When comparing 2023 to 2024, it was a tale of two different seasons for Toronto FC forward Deandre Kerr.
Kerr enjoyed somewhat of a breakout campaign last year, finishing tied with Italian DPs Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi as the club's top scorer with five goals in all competitions.
Kerr, a 22-year-old from Toronto, improved on that total this year with eight goals, but five of them came against semi-pro side CS Saint Laurent in the Canadian Championship. He scored just three times in MLS in 2024 and logged fewer starts (12) and minutes (986) compared to last season (16 starts, 1,225 minutes) due to a nagging injury that sidelined him for portions of the campaign.
In this one-on-one interview with TFC Republic, Kerr shares his views on his 2024 season, where he thinks he needs to improve and much more.
