Is the Toronto FC-Lorenzo Insigne situation untenable?
It appears as though both parties are stuck with each other, trapped in a bad marriage that no amount of counselling could save.
With the start of the MLS season just over a week away, Toronto FC still has to answer one pressing question: What to do about Lorenzo Insigne?
TFC Republic reported back in November that the club was actively trying to move out the former Napoli captain after he suffered through another lacklustre campaign in 2024 in which he scored just four goals in 23 league games.
GM Jason Hernandez recently revealed that discussions continued with Insigne and his representatives about his future with TFC.
"I would say those conversations are still ongoing, and so, like [Keith Pelley] mentioned previously, everything is on the table," Hernandez said last week.
