Toronto FC keeping 'a very close eye on' Markus Cimermancic
The TFC 2 midfielder has impressed in pre-season training camp and could earn a senior team contract for the 2025 MLS campaign.
At the start of Toronto FC's pre-season training camp, GM Jason Hernandez talked about how "elite athleticism" was one of the things the club will prioritize as it looks to rebound during the upcoming season.
“A player's physical competency, the pedigree, what they're capable of, call it the MLS standard, will be a premium for us,” Hernandez promised.
Although not mutually exclusive, athleticism and youth often go hand in hand. And while TFC only has seven players on their current roster over the age of 30, they could stand to get a bit younger.
Maybe that’s why TFC 2 midfielder Markus Cimermancic earned an invite to training camp and appears to be trending towards earning a senior team contract for the 2025 MLS season.
