Jermain Defoe was gone, but he wasn't forgotten and he certainly wasn't forgiven.
Defoe received a very frosty reception from the 14,025 fans in attendance at BMO Field who witnessed Sunderland beat Toronto FC 2-1 on July 22, 2015. Jonathan Osorio scored early in the second half for Toronto, before Defoe netted twice for the English Premier League side.
