CanWNT Talk: Bev Priestman signs contract extension
Canada Soccer announced on Thursday that Canadian women's team coach Bev Priestman has signed a contract extension through the 2027 FIFA World Cup.
Priestman, a 37-year-old native of England, took over as coach of the women's side in 2020 and led the team to a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics the following summer. Canada bowed out of the 2023 World Cup in the group stage last summer but rebounded later in the year to qualify for this summer's Paris Olympics.
In the latest TFC Republic video blog, I discuss what Priestman's re-signing means for the women's team program, and much more.
