Toronto FC notebook: New era begins under Robin Fraser

Wednesday marked the beginning of a new chapter in Toronto FC history as Robin Fraser was formally introduced as the team's new coach.

The Reds kicked off their pre-season training camp this week, which means Fraser doesn't have much time to sit around because the club will open its 2025 MLS campaign away to D.C. United on Feb. 22.

Fraser, GM Jason Hernandez and MLSE President & CEO Keith Pelley spoke to the media at the club's BMO Training Ground on Wednesday during the new coach's introductory press conference.

But Hernandez and Fraser also shared a lot of interesting and important news about Toronto FC once the cameras stopped rolling after the press conference was over, as they both spoke to TFC Republic and a very small group of reporters.

Here are the main talking points from those media scrums that weren't part of the main press conference.
