A new dawn at Toronto FC with Robin Fraser at the helm
"Everyone has to work. I just don't think we can have passengers," Fraser said in ushering in a new era of accountability at TFC.
Robin Fraser could hardly hide his joy last week during his introductory press conference as Toronto FC’s new coach.
Fraser just inherited an underperforming team that hasn’t made the playoffs in four years, but you’d never know it from the smile etched on his face as he fielded questions from a throng of reporters, including TFC Republic.
"Coming into this building, it was like putting on an old shoe," Fraser said.
One can understand why he felt that way. Fraser, a former two-time MLS defender of the year, has deep connections to TFC stemming from his time as assistant coach under Greg Vanney during the team’s most successful period in its history.
