TFC Flashback: 2018 'Bradley Bowl' pitted Michael vs. Bob

In this special flashback series for TFC Republic, we look back at interesting moments in the history of Toronto FC. 

In the latest instalment: We recall when former TFC captain Michael Bradley was getting ready to face his dad Bob Bradley and LAFC during the 2018 MLS season.

It was touted as the “Bradley Bowl,” a game between the patriarch of one of American soccer’s most prominent families and its famous son. 

An encounter at BMO Field on Sept. 1, 2018 between Toronto FC and LAFC wasn't just a battle between two sides in the thick of playoff races, it was also a family affair. At the time, Michael Bradley was captain of TFC, while Bob Bradley coached LAFC.
