Jesse Marsch keen on keeping Canada's momentum going ahead of World Cup
In a 1-on-1 interview with TFC Republic, Marsch discusses his first six months on the job, what's ahead for Canada in 2025, and much more.
2025 is going to be a very big year for Jesse Marsch and the Canadian men's team.
Looking to build upon its fantastic fourth-place finish at last summer's Copa América, Canada will try to win its first major trophy in 25 years when it competes in the Concacaf Nations League finals in March and this summer's Gold Cup. Leading the Canadian charge will be Marsch, who has impressed since taking over the men's team last June.
Marsch, a 51-year-old from Wisconsin, has the Canadian side playing with a great deal of confidence. He has also made some important tactical and personnel changes in order to bring out the best in the team. While results on the pitch matter, Marsch remains laser focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup that Canada will co-host alongside Mexico and the United States.
