TFC won't have to compete on two fronts in the summer

While there had been speculation for months, it was made official on Tuesday that the 2025 Leagues Cup has been revamped and won't include every team from MLS like it has for each of the past two years.

Instead, only the top nine teams in each MLS conference from the 2024 regular season will compete in the 2025 Leagues Cup, which takes place from July 29 to Aug. 31.
