Jayde Riviere back in Canada’s roster for France game
A familiar face will feature for the Canadian women’s team when it plays France in a high-profile friendly next month.
Coach Bev Priestman unveiled her 25-player roster on Wednesday and included in her squad is fullback Jayde Riviere, a 22-year-old native of Markham, Ont., who has been sidelined since last summer after having hip surgery.
That injury ruled Riviere out for the entire 2022 NCAA season with the University of Michigan, and she hasn’t played for Canada since a 1-0 loss to the United States in the final of the Concacaf W Championship in Mexico last July.
