Toronto FC vs. Forge FC: 3 takeaways
TFC were outplayed and outfought by the CPL champions in the first leg of the Canadian Championship semifinals.
Toronto FC remains in a serious free fall.
Not content with simply botching things in MLS, the Reds have now taken to tanking it in the Canadian Championship. A 2-1 upset loss to CPL champions Forge FC means the Reds have now lost seven games in a row and are winless in their last 10 with just one victory in their previous 13 outings in all competitions.
TFC’s previous victory came in an 8-1 decision over semi-professional outfit CS Saint-Laurent in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Championship on May 21.
