A key figure for Toronto FC in 2023 during his rookie MLS campaign, Kobe Franklin has had to bide his time for playing opportunities this season under new coach John Herdman.

Both Bob Bradley and Terry Dunfield showed great faith in Franklin last year, as the Toronto native and TFC youth academy graduate made 27 league appearances (23 starts) totalling 2,172 minutes. Only Federico Bernardeschi logged more minutes for the Reds (2,608).
