CanWNT Talk: Epic win for Olympic champs vs. France

What a memorable few days it's been for the Canadian women's team at the Paris Olympics.

Canada beat New Zealand in its opener 2-1 last Thursday but then sanctions were applied by FIFA just two days later, putting the Canadians at minus-three points in the Group A standings in response to the spying scandal. At the same time, coach Bev Priestman was sent home and suspended for one year by FIFA.

With all of this hanging over their heads, the Canadians still pulled off a stunning last-second 2-1 win over France on Sunday to bring its point total in the group stage back to zero and keep alive its hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

In the latest video blog, we discuss Canada's performance against France and where this result leaves the Olympic champions ahead of Wednesday's group stage finale vs. Colombia.
