Ex-TFC prospect Kwasi Poku set to help Forge FC in CanChamp
There’ll be added intrigue in the semifinals as Poku, Kyle Bekker and Jordan Hamilton are all former Toronto FC players.
Although he says it’s just another game, there’s no doubt Forge FC attacker Kwasi Poku and his teammates are looking forward to Wednesday’s Canadian Championship tilt against Toronto FC.
It’ll be the latest tough test in a series for the reigning Canadian Premier League champions who has made a name for themselves in big moments. Poku has also started to carve out a reputation for himself, having made his Forge debut against Liga MX side Cruz Azul in the Concacaf Champions League (now known as the Champions Cup) two years ago. Today, he’s one of Forge’s most dangerous players.
“I strive in big moments,” Poku told TFC Republic. “I try to really suppress the pressure and try to enjoy it. I think that’s what helps me thrive in high pressure situations.”
