TFC's Luka Gavran remains patient: 'My time will come'
In this 1-on-1 interview, Gavran talks about backing up starter Sean Johnson, facing Forge FC next month, and much more.
Luka Gavran has had to bide his time for playing opportunities as Toronto FC's backup goalkeeper behind MLS veteran Sean Johnson.
Gavran, a 24-year-old from Hamilton, Ont., has looked solid in his first full season for the Reds when called upon, and is currently getting a run of games with Johnson away on international duty with the United States at the Copa América.
But at the same time, he knows no matter who well he does that he'll always be the No. 2 option so long as Johnson is around.
In this one-on-one interview with TFC Republic, Gavran talks about being the team's backup goalkeeper, playing hometown club Forge FC in the upcoming Canadian Championship semifinals, and much more.
