Returning Ythallo one to watch for TFC 2 this season
The Brazilian defender has a bright future ahead of him and could be the next TFC 2 prospect to make the jump to the first team.
There’s been a steady flow of young prospects who have graduated from TFC 2 to Toronto FC over the past few years.
Among those who have made the jump are youth academy products Kosi Thompson, Kobe Franklin, Markus Cimermancic and Lazar Stefanovic.
Who’ll be the next among the Young Reds to earn an MLS contract? One player to keep an eye on is Ythallo, a Brazilian defender who the organization is very high on.
Ythallo, 20, spent the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro campaign on loan with TFC 2 from São Paulo FC and distinguished himself as one of the team's best players. He debuted for TFC 2 against Philadelphia Union II on March 17 and scored his first goal in a 4-2 win over Philadelphia on Aug. 18.
