Quinn back in the fold for Canada for April friendlies
After a lengthy international absence, Quinn is set to return to duty for the Canadian women’s team.
Coach Casey Stoney on Thursday unveiled her 23-player roster for a pair of upcoming friendlies vs. Argentina, and included in her squad is Quinn whose previous appearance for the national team came in Canada’s quarter-final loss to Germany at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ranked No. 7 in the world by FIFA, Canada will host No. 33 Argentina at Vancouver’s BC Place on April 4 and at Starlight Stadium in Langford, B.C. on April 8.
Quinn, a 29-year-old from Toronto, has missed all three international windows since the Paris Olympics (six games in total) while dealing with nagging health issues. The midfielder sat out just over half of the 2024 NWSL season with the Seattle Reign due to a knee injury and concussion problems, and became a free agent at the end of the campaign. Quinn decided to leave the NWSL outfit after four years, and signed with the Vancouver Rise of the Northern Super League ahead of the 2025 campaign.
