Janine Beckie, Desiree Scott recalled by Canada for SheBelieves Cup
The veterans have been named to the Canadian squad as it continues its preparations for this summer's Paris Olympics.
After lengthy injury layoffs that saw them miss last summer's FIFA World Cup, forward Janine Beckie and midfielder Desiree Scott are back in the fold for the Canadian women's team.
Coach Bev Priestman unveiled her 23-player roster on Thursday for next month's SheBelieves Cup and included in her squad are both Beckie and Scott.
The inclusion of the veterans in this latest Canadian roster bodes well for Priestman in terms of their possible participation in this summer's Paris Olympics.
