Reader mailbag: How patient will Toronto FC be with Robin Fraser?

Results have been lacking for TFC this season, but the club must be patient with Robin Fraser and continue to give him time.

Reader mailbag: How patient will Toronto FC be with Robin Fraser?

Here we go...

Why does TFC have so many players injured so often? This is not meant to be as simplistic as it sounds. We have had a near crisis-level number of injuries over the past two years, yet it doesn’t seem to get better. Is it our training staff? Is there a problem with the methods the coaches are using? Do our training facilities need work? Do we have terrible scouting and selection of players? Players get injured — that’s part of the game — but we seem to have a lot more than our playing levels suggest we should.

Cameron asks a very valid question and one that I get all the time.

Toronto FC was able to call upon its full roster for the first two games of the season but has had to deal with a rash of injuries ever since. Most notably, Richie Laryea has sat out the last four matches with a hamstring issue and recently travelled to England to consult with a specialist to get to the bottom of things.
