March 5, 2024: Hugo Mbongue loaned to San Antonio
Toronto FC sends forward Hugo Mbongue on loan to San Antonio FC of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship for the remainder of the 2024 season.
Quick analysis: It was only a matter of time before GM Jason Hernandez started to move out some of his under-performing young players. Both Hernandez and coach John Herdman previously hinted the team was looking for loan deals for some its youngsters and it finally came to pass.
