Canadian men's team to play June friendly vs. Netherlands
Canada will play the Dutch in an international friendly in Rotterdam on June 6.
Canada Soccer announced on Thursday that the Canadian men’s team will play the Netherlands during June’s international window.
Canada and the Netherlands will square off on June 6 at Stadion Feijenoord in Rotterdam, and Canada Soccer said it is actively trying to schedule another opponent for the men’s side during the June window.
“We are very excited for our men’s national team to be playing a top-six, FIFA-ranked opponent. The opportunity to play against the top teams in the world will serve as an opportunity to continue our development on the journey to our home FIFA World Cup,” Kevin Blue, new Canada Soccer General Secretary and CEO, said in a media release.
