Toronto FC shut out in road loss vs. FC Cincinnati
- Toronto FC 0, FC Cincinnati 2 (Denkey 73’; Kubo 88’)
- Reds haven’t won in Cincinnati since 2020
- Ola Brynhildsen earned his 1st start for TFC
CINCINNATI – The effort was there, but the end product was lacking.
That about sums up Toronto FC’s workman-like effort in a 2-0 loss vs. FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium on Saturday night.
Kévin Denkey and Yuya Kubo scored second-half goals for the hosts before an announced crowd of 23,088, leaving TFC licking their wounds in the process.
For all of its hard work, Toronto never seriously threatened to score against a Cincinnati side that looked far more dangerous and purposeful in the attack. With just one point from their three road games to open the 2025 MLS season, the Reds very much remain a work in progress as they continue to search for their first win under new coach Robin Fraser.
