TFC Talk: Reds seeking revenge on New York City FC
Toronto FC will try to make it six wins in a row in all competitions when it hosts New York City FC on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET/Apple TV).
NYCFC (4-5-2) sits in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, four spots and five points below TFC in the table and is coming off a 2-0 home loss to the Colorado Rapids last Sunday. The defeat snapped the club's five-game unbeaten run, which included three straight wins. It was also New York's first ever loss to Colorado in seven all-time meetings between the teams.
Toronto and New York previously met on March 16 at Yankee Stadium when NYCFC earned a 2-1 win. Teenager Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty scored the first goal of his MLS career, but that wasn’t enough to inspire a lacklustre TFC.
TFC Republic spoke to Andrew Leigh of the Hudson River Blue website about Saturday's game between TFC and NYCFC at BMO Field, New York's season so far, and much more.
