Welcome to TFC Tidbits, a special feature at TFC Republic that curates bits and pieces of news about what's going on with Toronto FC.
May 18: Forwards needs more time at TFC2, says Herdman
Toronto FC was missing nine players through injuries and suspension for Wednesday's game against Nashville SC, which led the club to calling up three players from TFC 2 to round out their squad for the trip to Music City.
Among three members of the Young Red who were signed to short-term contracts were forward Charlie Sharp, who ended up making his MLS debut when he subbed on in the 75th minute of TFC's 2-0 loss at GEODIS Park. Sharp earned the call up based on the recommendation of Toronto assistant coach Terry Dunfield, who is in charge of bridging the strategies between the senior team and TFC 2.
