GM Jason Hernandez heralds TFC 2’s 'proof of concept'

Since TFC 2’s formation in 2014, a steady string of young prospects has graduated from the reserve side and signed their first MLS contract with Toronto FC. 

Several notable former and current senior team players cut their teeth with TFC 2, whether it was in MLS NEXT Pro or the United Soccer League, before making their MLS debuts, including Ayo Akinola, Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, Kosi Thompson, Alex Bono, and Jayden Nelson.
