Footy Prime: Herdman's TFC exit was only a matter of time

After just over a year on the job, John Herdman is out at Toronto FC. The MLS club announced on Friday that Herdman resigned his position as head coach, effective immediately.

The announcement from TFC comes amidst growing controversy over the ongoing Olympic scandal surrounding the Canadian women's team in Paris, and Herdman's alleged involvement in the usage of drones to spy on opponents during his time in charge of both Canada's men's and women's teams.

What does all of this mean? Friday's edition of the Footy Prime podcast tried to provide some answers.

Host James Sharman and Amy Walsh welcomed TFC Republic's John Molinaro to discuss all aspects of Herdman's resignation, including the ramifications for Herdman's coaching career and for Toronto FC going into the 2025 MLS season.
