MLS playoff race: Down to the wire for Toronto FC in the East
Fighting for a playoff spot, TFC are facing "an all or nothing situation" in their final two matches of the MLS regular season this week.
Having already played three times across two competitions in eight days, Toronto FC will have to continue to grind things out this week with a pair of home matches in a span of four days.
Even after a disappointing draw vs. the Chicago Fire on the weekend, Toronto (11-17-4) remains in eighth place and is clinging to the second-last playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.
But the pack of teams directly below the Reds in the table are breathing down their neck, and whether or not they can officially punch their ticket for the playoffs likely won't be determined until the last day of the regular season.
