What to look for from Canada in friendly vs. Japan

After being idle for the September international window due to financial constraints, the Canadian men's team returns to action when it plays Japan in an international friendly in Niigata on Friday (6:30 a.m. ET/OneSoccer).
The match will be Mauro Biello's first in charge as caretaker boss of Canada since John Herdman stepped down to take over as head coach of Toronto FC. It'll also be the first game for the Canadians since suffering a penalty shootout loss to the United States on July 9 in Cincinnati in the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Gold Cup.
