Reader mailbag: Where does John Herdman start at Toronto FC?
Before anything else happens at TFC there has to be a clear understanding from the players that standards and accountability must rise.
TFC Republic will feature a regular reader mailbag column where I answer questions from subscribers about Toronto FC and Canadian soccer in general.
I'll respond to the best queries submitted to me by TFC Republic readers, so feel free to drop me an email at johnmolinaro@rogers.com. You can also reach out to me via Twitter and Facebook.

What do you think about the recent front office hiring at TFC?
– Jeffrey Nesker, Toronto Till I Die Show
In case you missed it last week, Toronto FC announced the appointment of Sean Rubio as its new technical director, the latest in a series of hirings that included incoming coach John Herdman bringing in a new staff to assist him.
As part of his duties Rubio will oversee the management of the infrastructure and operation of the club's scouting department. He’ll also work in tandem with general manager Jason Hernandez in terms of player acquisitions for the first team and TFC 2.
