Canada will play its first home game in close to a year – and first under Jesse Marsch – when it hosts Panama on Tuesday in Toronto.
Canada and Panama will renew acquaintances with each other when they square off in an international friendly at Toronto's BMO Field on Tuesday (7:00 p.m. ET/OneSoccer).
While Panama was off for the September international window, Canada took on the best that Concacaf had to offer. Les Rouges earned a 2-1 road win over the United States and played Mexico to a 0-0 draw.
Panama is coming off a 2-0 loss away to the U.S. on the weekend, its first match since its impressive quarter-final run at this summer's Copa América. Canada finished fourth in its tournament debut at the Copa.
Canada is 38th in the current FIFA world rankings, one spot below Panama. The previous meeting between the teams saw Canada defeat Panama 2-0 in Las Vegas last June in the semifinals of the 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League. The Canadians are 5-2-6 all-time vs. Panama.
