Veteran striker Jade Kovacevic 1st signing for AFC Toronto
Kovacevic, 30, is the all-time leading scorer in League1 Ontario for both men and women with over 170 goals.
It’s starting to get very real for AFC Toronto.
On Monday, the Toronto-based club announced veteran striker Jade Kovacevic as its first-ever signing, which also makes her the first player to officially join the Northern Super League.
"We’re thrilled to have Jade as our first signing," coach Marko Milanovic said in a media release.
"She’s always trained like a professional, even without a domestic league to play in, and it’s that commitment, her goal-scoring ability and leadership that will help us establish our presence in the league.”
