Contract option decisions loom large for Toronto FC
13 players on TFC's current roster are in the option years of their contracts. Who should come back and who should be let go?
Toronto FC faces some very important roster decisions going into what will be one of the most important off-seasons in franchise history.
Thirteen players on the Reds' current roster are in the option years of their contracts, which means management must decide who from the long list they want to bring back in 2025 and who to cut loose.
GM Jason Hernandez will have until the Nov. 27 deadline to make up his mind about the 13 players. But he hinted last Thursday during TFC's end-of-year media availability, otherwise known as locker clean out day, that announcements could come sometime this week.
Let's look at the 13 players who could leave Toronto FC this off-season, and evaluate whether the club should pick up their contract options or allow them to walk away.
