NORTH YORK, ONT. – The third time proved to be the charm for York United FC.
Oswaldo León and captain Molham Babouli scored second-half goals in York’s laborious 2-0 win over Pacific FC at York Lions Stadium on Wednesday night in the opening contest of the 2024 Canadian Premier League playoffs.
When York coach Benjamn Mora went for a coffee with sporting director Jorge Villalpando on Wednesday morning he had a confident prediction.
“I told him, don’t worry, I think, I feel, that we will win two-zero,” Mora revealed to reporters after the win.
