Historically, Toronto FC hasn't turned to the Canadian Premier League all that much to reinforce its roster.

Both Kadin Chung and Lukas MacNaughton were signed from Pacific FC prior to the 2022 MLS season under former coach Bob Bradley, but neither one stuck around very long.
