TFC Talk: Kevin Long a bright spot for the Reds in 2024

Toronto FC's off-season rebuild began this week when the club revealed its end-of-season roster decisions on 13 players who entered the option years of their contracts at the end of the 2024 MLS campaign.

Toronto announced on Monday that it declined its 2025 contract options on goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh; defenders Aimé Mabika and Shane O'Neill; and midfielder Brandon Servania. TFC picked up its contract options for goalkeeper Luka Gavran; defenders Kobe Franklin and Kevin Long; midfielders Alonso Coello and Kosi Thompson; and forwards Deandre Kerr and Tyrese Spicer.

GM Jason Hernandez has until the MLS deadline of Nov. 27 to exercise or decline the 2025 contract options for defender Luke Singh, currently on loan at the CPL's Atlético Ottawa, and forward Prince Owusu.

TFC Republic spoke to fellow Toronto FC beat reporter James Grossi, who also operates the Unattached FC website, to get his take on the club's roster decisions.
