Toronto FC has everything to play for when it hosts Inter Miami this weekend in its final match of the 2024 MLS regular season.
Wednesday's 4-1 home loss to the New York Red Bulls dropped TFC from eighth to ninth place in the Eastern Conference, which means they desperately need a win against Miami to keep alive its chances of qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Even that might not be, though.
"We're still in the fight, by hook or crook. We'll be giving everything this weekend to do something to get a result for this fan base, for the club," TFC coach John Herdman said on Friday.
